The Developing Church

September 22, 2015 - Jesus was serious about challenging His followers to grow up in the faith and become mature spiritually. This week we study John 6, where Jesus challenged a large group of disciples to step up spiritually. Unfortunately most chose to bail out and quit following Jesus. They hit the “unfollow” button.

What would it take for you and I to hit the “unfollow” button? When might we say, “Jesus, you are asking for too much from me!”

Jesus is calling all of us to become mature spiritually. So this Sunday we consider how we can be the kind of church that helps everyone grow up, not just grow old. Don’t miss this essential message on what it means to “DEVELOP Faith.”

The Discovering Church

September 15, 2013 - The LIFEhouse Church exists to help people become fully devoted followers of Christ. Our goal is to make disciples who make disciples. We want to help people move through their discipleship process by Discovering Hope. Developing Faith. And Deploying Love. This sermon investigates what it means to Discover Hope. You’ll hear a clear Gospel message. This may be a perfect message to share with a friend!

Stop Playing Church

September 8, 2013 - Have you ever been on a winning team? It is much more fun to be on a winning team than on a losing team. Would you agree? Winning teams and winning organizations have goals and dreams and challenges to conquer, hills to climb and obstacles to overcome. They are focused and intense and disciplined… And it is a lot more fun winning than losing! Amen?

What defines a win, when a church is not just playing around, but playing for keeps? We dream of not just playing church, but BEING the church, under the Lordship of Christ.

I'm A Good Person

September 1, 2013 - Believe it or not, I’m a good person! I’m (usually) thoughtful, (mostly) generous, and I’m (always) willing to help others. “All things equal, when it comes to heaven, I’m in… Right?” We’ll discover that not one of those things helps me to get in, and (surprise!) not one of them causes God to love me more. That’s why the “good news” is so Good! Actually, it’s better than you could have ever hoped.
