Deploying Love
December 29, 2013 - All of us have a call from God. Each one of us have been put on this
planet for a unique reason. Surrendering to Jesus as Lord, means that He
is the commanding officer, and He determines our marching orders.
Messy Christmas Through Celebration
December 22, 2013 - Christmas Sunday – When Jesus’ arrival was announced by the angels, few
people living at that time saw any evidence of change. The angels knew
that a new and glorious day had arrived as they anticipated “a weary
world” rejoicing!
Messy Christmas Through Surrender
December 15, 2013 - Battlegrounds are messy places. This world is a spiritual battleground,
not a playground and there are mangled bodies everywhere, victims of the
enemy. Who wants to surrender? Isn’t that a sign of being a loser?
Being defeated? Giving up? Submitting to a stronger force? Yes, it is
all true, and though it seems so counter-intuitive in our culture, it is
the only path to experiencing “The Prince of Peace.”
Messy Christmas
December 8, 2013 - Many of us experience a bittersweet time at Christmas, because it brings
both happy memories from the past and mixes them with the anguish of
loved ones who have passed on from this earth, relationships that once
were, and a myriad of other things that affect our lives that somehow
cause us pain at a time of rejoicing. We need to remember that Jesus
went through it all, felt every sorrow that we feel and more, and He did
it for us, and His reward is to now sit on His throne at the right hand
of God, the most honored place in God’s house! Therefore He has the
knowledge and the power to get us through the sometimes difficult times
that are presented to us at this season. He is coming back; He has not
forgotten us!
Messy Christmas Through Humility
December 1, 2013 - Messy Christmas Through Humility. I am thankful for God’s wonderful gift
of grace and how it was made possible by lowering himself in human form
in the most humble way. In this message we see how a little baby being
born in a trough can make a world of difference.
Messy Christmas Through Thanksgiving
November 24, 2013 - Is it your health? Your family? Your job? Your finances? It is easy to
be thankful for things in our life that we work hard for, but when was
the last time you were just “Thankful?” When we worship and give
gratitude to the Lord for EVERYTHING He has done, we magnify Him. My
prayer is that we learn to MAGNIFY the Lord with Thanksgiving.
Putting The Family Fortune To Work
November 17, 2013 -
Everything
we have comes from God. God gives something to everyone. We have no control
over how much God gives to us, but we are responsible to make the most of whatever
it is that God has placed in our hands. One day we will give an account for
what we did with what was entrusted to us.
Spending To Reap
November 10, 2013 -
We
are looking at God’s laws of weath and prosperity. God has laws for spending
and saving and investing and taking risk and insuring. When we put money to
work to make a difference in lives, that is a good thing, when we are working
for money, being slaves to debt, that is a bad thing. We are blessed when we
cooperate with God’s laws.
Spending The Family Fortune
November 3, 2013 - Few experience the plague of being born into what we consider to be a
rich family, yet everyone who is in the family of God, is rich beyond
measure. Our Heavenly Father is rich. Everything we have comes from His
hand. Before he entrusts us with greater riches, he wants us to prove
that we can be trusted with little. If we are faithful with little, then
God will entrust us with greater things.
Leaving A Legacy
October 27, 2013 - In
other cultures, the idea of a family legacy is far more valued and appreciated
than here in America. In Africa there is a pride in a family heritage that goes
back for generations… great great great grandparents are revered and
appreciated. The family name means everything. One’s identity is connected with
the family name that has been passed down for centuries.
Heaven Help The Home
October 20, 2013 - Family members have the power to make life exhilarating, or
exasperating. Paul speaks of the secret sauce for healthy families. This
works whether you are a believer or not, but is even more powerful when
Jesus is on the throne.
The Cure For Conflict
October 13, 2013 -
--> What is at the root of family conflict. We all have experienced the symptoms, and it is not pretty. While conflict is inevitable, it doesn’t have to be regrettable. We call on Jesus’ brother James to give us the cure for resolving conflict with whom we are stuck.

What's the Big Idea? - The Nuked Family
October 6, 2013 -
--> God’s design for the family is perfect, except for the fact that there is no “perfect” family. Even in the Bible, there are few “good” examples of healthy families. What gives? We all feel the tension between the ideal and the real. What we do with that tension makes all the difference as we pursue God’s heart for the family.

The Developing Church
September 22, 2015 - Jesus was serious about challenging His followers to grow up in the
faith and become mature spiritually. This week we study John 6, where
Jesus challenged a large group of disciples to step up spiritually.
Unfortunately most chose to bail out and quit following Jesus. They hit
the “unfollow” button.
What would it take for you and I to hit the “unfollow” button? When might we say, “Jesus, you are asking for too much from me!”
Jesus is calling all of us to become mature spiritually. So this Sunday we consider how we can be the kind of church that helps everyone grow up, not just grow old. Don’t miss this essential message on what it means to “DEVELOP Faith.”

The Discovering Church
September 15, 2013 - The LIFEhouse Church exists to help people become fully devoted
followers of Christ. Our goal is to make disciples who make disciples.
We want to help people move through their discipleship process by
Discovering Hope. Developing Faith. And Deploying Love. This sermon
investigates what it means to Discover Hope. You’ll hear a clear Gospel
message. This may be a perfect message to share with a friend!
Stop Playing Church
September 8, 2013 - Have you ever been on a winning team? It is much more fun to be on a
winning team than on a losing team. Would you agree? Winning teams and
winning organizations have goals and dreams and challenges to conquer,
hills to climb and obstacles to overcome. They are focused and intense
and disciplined… And it is a lot more fun winning than losing! Amen?
What defines a win, when a church is not just playing around, but playing for keeps? We dream of not just playing church, but BEING the church, under the Lordship of Christ.

I'm A Good Person
September 1, 2013 - Believe it or not, I’m a good person! I’m (usually) thoughtful, (mostly)
generous, and I’m (always) willing to help others. “All things equal,
when it comes to heaven, I’m in… Right?” We’ll discover that not one of
those things helps me to get in, and (surprise!) not one of them causes
God to love me more. That’s why the “good news” is so Good! Actually,
it’s better than you could have ever hoped.
The Heart of LIFEhouse
August 18 2013 - For those who are new to LIFEhouse, this sermon will help you
understanding why we do what we do around here. For those who have been
around for a while, it will be a chance to "update" our commitment to
being the kind of church that Jesus promised to build until He comes.
Worship Together
August 11 2013 - When we talk about worship, confusion abounds! One person uses the word
to describe a style of music, while another uses it in the context of
liturgies, and still another talks of worship as a way of life. Debates
rage! Lets talk about what worship means for "all generations" when we
meet for "gathered worship". Unity in gathered worship is essential for
the church family.
Power of Prayer for Your Pastor
August 4 2013 - This may seem weird to some, but prayer for our Senior Pastor is
important. A lot of pressure and weight comes from being a pastor and
you carry a large hearts burden for your congregation and the people in
your community.
Power of Prayer for Your Marriage
July 28, 2013 - Learn how to pray in and for your marriages. 51% of Christians in the
church are divorced vs 50% of our culture divorce rate. This is a very
humbling statistic to digest. We are losing the wars over our
marriages. I want to help fight back these hard statistics and learn how
to become COUPLES THAT PRAY TOGETHER.
Becoming a Person of Prayer
July 21 2013 - Prayer is simply talking with God. He wants to have an ongoing
conversation with us, because he created us to live in relationship with
Him. The Bible speaks of prayer being "effectual." This means that it
has an impact, it accomplishes something. It makes a difference.
Undercover God...In Control
July 14 2013 - When was the last time you felt out of control? Can you think of a "self
inflicted wound," where you lost control in some way, and thought,
"what was I thinking?" There is even a special name for some of us
"control freaks." Even control freaks are out of control.
Undercover God... My Transcendent
July 7 2013 - Your little "g" god is too small! Do you have any idea how big God is?
God is exceedingly and abundantly beyond what these two pound brains can
comprehend! Join us Sunday as we stretch our craniums, seeking to have a
more accurate understanding of our great God.
Undercover God...My Restorer
June 30 2013 - Everyone needs help in finding the way back to God. Our God specializes
in restoration projects. Feel like you are damaged goods that you don't
measure up or are beyond redemption? The good news is that God is still
in the business of making all things new, including me and you.
Undercover God... My Pursuer
June 23 2013 - God gave a unique calling to Hosea; one that has not been repeated again
to this day. He called Hosea to marry a special kind of lady, because
He wanted to communicate a special kind of love He has for His people.
Undercover God... My Father
June 16 2013 - Every father wants to be great in some way. No one sets out to be a
loser as a parent. Here we consider how blessed we are to have a
Heavenly Father who forgives and restores and understands. These are
great qualities in any father, but even more so when eternity is in the
balance. When life pulls the rug out from under us, we have a Father who
is waiting to catch our fall.
Undercover God... Strong
June 9 2013 - Throughout the Bible we see weak people who won battles because God was
with them and empowered and went before them. Wouldn't it make sense if
our Heaven Father is strong, that He children would be strong as well?
Do you know a strong Christian?
Followers and Leaders
June 2 2013 - As the leaders go, so goes the ministry. Pastor Dave Kraft has written
two books, "Leaders Who Last" and "Mistakes Leaders Make." Our world is
crying out for God honoring leaders who will run the race of faith and
finish well. Don't miss this opportunity to hear from a sage who
understands what it means to lead God's church for a lifetime.
Undercover God...Immeasurable
May 26 2013 - Our God is invisible, yet the Bible clearly defines his attributes as
"immeasurable, strong, transcendent, in control and able." This week we
launch a series of messages where we will be revealing the mysteries of
our "Undercover" yet revealed, God.
Why Study the New Testament?
May 19 2013 - What is unique about the New Testament collection of manuscripts that sets it apart from every other book in history?
A Mother's Love
May 12 2013 - he Sermon this week is going to be geared around Mothers.... There is no
better mother in Scripture than Jesus mother Mary. How can we learn to
love our moms like Jesus loved His.
Why Study the Bible?
April 28 2013 - Many live off of one spiritual meal a week. Why is it essential for
people to study the Bible for themselves? Why is learning to feed
ourselves spiritually such an essential activity
Why Church?
April 21 2013 - Many former churched people are now un-churched. They haven't given up
on God but they have given up on the church. What are they missing? Why
do they need to re-engage?
Why Multiply?
April 14 2013 - Isn't everyone worshiping the same God? Aren't all paths leading to God?
Many are confused about Jesus' unique and exclusive claims. Why does
Jesus' life and message call us to worship Him alone as the son of God
and mediator for our sin? Are there other ways to get to God other than
through Jesus? You don't want to miss this essential message.
The Bible Jesus Believed
April 7 2013 - After Jesus rose from the dead, He appeared to two men and opened the
Scriptures to show them how the agenda of the Bible is about Him. What
did Jesus say? What did Jesus believe about the Old Testament?
Irresistible Power
March 31 2013 - The resurrection power of Jesus is what sets Christians and Christianity
apart from every other religion. Join us as we celebrate the power that
sets us free to experience all that God has in store for His children.
Today you will be with me in Paradise
March 29 2013 - The Crucifixion of Jesus was dark. That day is appropriately called
"Black Friday." Yet God's purpose was being realized, in spite of the
best that Satan could throw at Jesus.
A Man's Man
March 24 2013 - Jesus' demonstrated His strength of character when facing His accusers.
Jesus was never insecure or at a loss. He knew who He was and what He
was about. Do you?
A Man Among Wimps
March 18 2013 - The Betrayal of Judas was unexpected by all of the disciples who had
been following Jesus for three years. Betrayal can be so subtle that no
one sees it coming until the consequences are devastating.
Unstoppable Compassion - Part 2
March 10 2013 - We will never be fulfilled until we discover how God has uniquely wired
us to serve people through our God-given gifts and abilities. A
non-ministering Christian is an oxymoron.
Unstoppable Compassion - Part 1
March 3, 2013 -
In this two part series, we investigate how Jesus dealt with opposition
and intensely stressful circumstances. What can we learn from Jesus as
he faced the horrors of the cross that loomed in His future?
Depths of Denial
February 24 2013 - No one likes to fail, yet it is inevitable in life. We will be learning
from one of the greatest examples of overconfidence, utter shame and
restoration, from the lives of Peter and Jesus.
True Greatness
February 17 2013 - What does it mean to be a truly great person in the eyes of God? Isn't
that what we all want? What does the target look like once we arrive?
Jesus' Last Supper
February 10 2013 - Jesus brought His closest friends together for a special meal and a
transforming message. This was Jesus' last time to eat with the Twelve.
As life grows shorter, communication becomes more vital.
Descending Into Greatness
February 3, 2013 - Jesus set the example of greatness through an act of a humble servant.
Jesus modeled the kind of greatness that has lasted for generations and
has never gone out of style.
The Heroic App
January 27, 2013 - We will never be fulfilled until we discover how God has uniquely wired
us to serve people through our God given gifts and abilities. A
non-ministering Christian is an oxymoron.
The Hurricane App
January 20, 2012 - When life circumstances are beating you up, what do you do?
Circumstances neither make us, nor break us, but they do reveal us. They
expose the foundations of our faith, our understanding of God and sin's
impact on our world. Our weaknesses, doubts and fears are exposed when
life throws us a curve ball. When that happens, we have an opportunity
to grow in our faith and trust God as our Shepherd, walking with us
through the valley of the shadow of death (Psalm 23). Or we can reject
the faith, choosing to become bitter and resentful, while trusting only
in ourselves.
The Human App
January 13, 2013 - When God wants to take us to another level of spiritual growth, He often
brings someone into our lives. They are people who challenge us
spiritually, inspire us to think deeply, while trusting God more purely.
Their lives say, "follow me as I follow Christ." These "soul" brothers
and sisters live by Proverbs 27:17, "Iron sharpens iron, and one man
sharpens another."
The Hearing App - Jathan Good
January 6, 2013 - Have you ever been able to hear Gods voice? If you could hear Gods
voice, what would you say in response? Are we truly ready to hear what
He has to say? This Sunday we are going to carve through 18 Scriptures
to seek the Word of God.
